Scully. first American High In Trial. She has a total of , 3 in the USA and one in Canada, all in Specialities.
Scully is our first show Springer and brood bitch, our foundation. She was bred at Serenade Kennel. She fell in love with Danick instantly and it's been the same ever since. That day also marked the start of our breeding adventures and our great friendship with Anne and Paul of Serenade.
She is an all-around sound liver and white bitch and an excellent brood bitch. She's given us many wonderful kids and has just recently become a grandmother! She has the most wonderful temperament and disposition. She is a good quality bitch but not a top quality show bitch, so we were content to move on to obedience with her, once she was finished. She did place 3rd in Group once, however.
Scully really shines in obedience. She loves to work for Danick, except when it entails retrieving... But we eventually got over that.
Scully has earned many High In Trial awards including 3 consecutive titles at the "Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club" Speciality in 2004 and 2005, retiring the perpetual Obedience trophee, unclaimed since 1982. She also won the HIT at the Canadian National Speciality in 2003.
Now, Scully is retired from breeding and spends her time being a grandmother. She loves to play with her kids and grandkids.
Scully left us unexpectedly, in less than 36 hours. She had liver/spleen cancer that was undetected. The tumour ruptured and caused a massive hemorrhage. She had never shown any sign of illness and was running and woo-wooing 36 hours before she died. THANK YOU for everything, Scully. We miss you and no one will ever take your place in our hearts.

Scully with the perpetual obedience trophy at the Eastern English Springer Spaniel Club specialty, awarded for the highest score (HIT) in three trials by the same owner. Danick and Scully won it together in two years. The trophy had been waiting to be won since 1982!
